Abstract:

PURPOSE: To surely prevent the over speed running of a turbine while the dynamo electric machine is highly loaded and generates electricity by controlling the flow rate of the fuel supplied to an engine so as to reduce it when the output electric current value of the rotary electric machine becomes a specified value or less.
CONSTITUTION: Whether or not the rotary electric machine of a turbo-charger 4 is generating electricity is checked by means of the signal from an inverter control circuit 5, and if the rotary electric machine is generating electricity, whether or not an electric motor 3 is outputting is checked by means of the signals from current sensors 7, 8, and 9, and if the motor is outputting, the current of the motor 3 is measured, and the measured value is stored in a memory device. In the next step, the target current value is read out from the memory device, and the difference between the target current value and the current value of the motor 3 is calculated, and whether or not the difference is larger than a predetermined value is checked. If it is larger, the fuel control device of a fuel injection pump 2 is operated to control the fuel flow rate so as to reduce it or cut off the flow of fuel. As a result, turbine work is reduced so that the over speed of the turbine can be surely prevented.
