To suitably stably cast a metal plate with a relatively thin thickness by a twin roll type continuous casting rolling method while suppressing enlargement of an apparatus and increase of cost without requiring precise control.
In the twin roll type continuous casting rolling method, metal melt is introduced between a pair of rolls 12, 13 mutually oppositely arranged and rotating in mutually opposite directions through a roll gap G with predetermined dimension, and is cooled and solidified by roll surfaces 12d, 13d and then is rolled with the rolls 12, 13 to obtain a band-like metal plate. The roll gap G having almost specified dimension over the entire length is formed by the pair of the rolls 12, 13, wherein the pair of the rolls 12, 13 have such a shape that a diameter r is varied along a length direction at least in a part of the length direction.
