Title:
ULTRASONIC AIRFLOW METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004177279
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an ultrasonic airflow meter capable of easily measuring the average wind speed and/or the average wind volume in a duct.

In this ultrasonic airflow meter 10, the body 11 is fixed in the obliquely crossed state with the axial direction of the duct 50, and a pair of ultrasonic transceivers 15, 15 is arranged on positions a little to both ends of the body 11. An ultrasonic propagation route R1 connecting both ultrasonic transceivers 15, 15 is formed in the obliquely crossed state in the duct 50, to thereby enable to measure the averaged wind speed in the range crossing obliquely in the duct 50 more easily than hitherto. Since the body 11 of the ultrasonic airflow meter 10 has a symmetrical shape across a plane including the ultrasonic propagation route R1, an error hardly occurs in a measurement result even if the wind direction is directed to any direction in the duct 50.
