Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a highly reliable ultrasonic detection device which prevents misdetection due to an electric noise, etc., and can surely detect touch-ON and touch position coordinates.
CONSTITUTION: Whether or not the level of an ultrasonic wave signal passed through receivers 5a and 5b exceeds a specific reference level which shows the presence of a body absorbing an ultrasonic wave, is detected (23) and when the level of the detected ultrasonic wave signal exceeds the reference level continuously in a time longer than a reference time, a touch-ON signal indicating the presence of the body is outputted. Further, when the level of the ultrasonic wave exceeds the reference level in a time longer than the reference time, the coordinate X or Y is calculated (23) from the mean of a 1st point and a 2nd point of time when the level passes the reference level.
