Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve a resolution so as to measure the uneven cross-sectional shape on the organization surface by converting the phase deviation of a surface reception signal to be detected mutually between the adjacent ultrasonic beams into some waveform shape or some numerical form and displaying the result.
CONSTITUTION: A transmission/reception circuit 12 are connected to a search unit 10 and a reception signal sent herefrom is transmitted to a surface extraction circuit 18 which extracts the reception signal corresponding to the organization surface. The extracted reception signal is sent to a phase deviation detection circuit 20 where it is mixed with a reference signal and temporarily store after the orthogonal detection. In the phase difference arithmetic unit, the phase deviation Δθ being the phase difference of the reception signal between the adjacent mutual ultrasonic beams is computed. A surface shape arithmetic circuit 22 calculates the uneven cross-sectional shape of the surface based on a phase deviation signal 100 to be outputted from the circuit 20 and outputs it as the waveform to a display device 16.
