Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic wave flow rate switch that can be manufactured at low costs without reducing efficiency of transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves.SOLUTION: A casing part 500 integrally or individually holding ultrasonic wave elements 710 and 720 in a waterproof manner is attached to an exterior face of piping by a clamp part. The ultrasonic wave elements 710 and 720 and the piping are acoustically coupled to element coupling faces 530A and 530B of the casing part 500 and a piping coupling face 530C, respectively. An ultrasonic wave transmitted by the ultrasonic wave element 710 is guided into a fluid body in the piping through the element coupling face 530A and piping coupling face 530C. The ultrasonic wave propagating in the fluid body in the piping is received by the ultrasonic wave element 720 through the piping coupling face 530C and element coupling face 530B. On the basis of an output signal of at least one of the ultrasonic wave elements 710 and 720, a flow rate of the fluid body in the piping is calculated. On the basis of the calculated flow rate and a threshold of a predetermined flow rate, ON/OFF signals are output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
