Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic wave flow rate switch that can be stably attached to piping having various dimensions.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic wave is transmitted to a fluid body flowing in piping 2 by an ultrasonic wave element 710, and the ultrasonic wave from the fluid body flowing in the piping 2 is received by an ultrasonic wave element 720. On the basis of an output signal of at least one of the ultrasonic wave elements 710 and 720, a flow rate of the fluid body in the piping 2 is calculated. On the basis of the calculated flow rate and a threshold of a predetermined flow rate, ON/OFF signals are output. A casing part 500 integrally or individually holding the ultrasonic wave elements 710 and 720 is attached to an exterior face of the piping 2 by a clamp part 100. An acoustic couplant 610 formed of a soft elastic body is pressed against the exterior face of the piping 2 so that at least one of the ultrasonic wave elements 710 and 720 is acoustically coupled to the piping 2. An amount of crushing of the acoustic couplant 610 in a part having the greatest amount of crushing by the piping 2 is regulated by a crushing-amount regulation part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
