To provide an ultrasonic machine which continuously carries out the machining of a workpiece with high accuracy.
An ultrasonic punch (ultrasonic machine) 1 has an elevating table 11, and a work stand (jig) 12 is arranged on the upper surface of the elevating table at a location opposed to a tool 9. The work stand 12 is formed of a shrunk-on plate 51 and a base plate 54. The plate 51 is composed of a reference surface 52 formed of a material (e.g. PCD) which is harder than an abrasive grain as described later, and a stand 53 formed of a cemented carbide. Then, the workpiece 13 is fixed on the reference surface 52 of the work stand 12 arranged on the elevating table 11, the ultrasonic punch 1 oscillates the tool 9 by means of ultrasonic waves, and the oscillation is transmitted to the abrasive grain, to thereby form a shape in the workpiece following the shape of the tool.
