PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV projector which projects UV rays to the objective paper surface, on which fluorescent display information is stated with a fluorescent coating material and is adequate for reading of the fluorescent display information shining by these rays.
SOLUTION: This projector has a light source section 10 including a black light 12 outputting UV lays L1 and a shade 13 covering the same. The projector has a holding arm 20 for holding the light source section 10. The objective paper surface 90 is irradiated with the UV rays L1 projected from the light source section 10 to allow the fluorescent display information 92 stated with the fluorescent coating material on the objective paper surface 90 to emit light. The projector has a bright viewing filter 30 which is a filter for visual observation of the objective paper surface 90 and is used to intensify the contrast of the fluorescent display information 92. This bright viewing filter 30 is so mounted at the light source section 10 as to protrude from the light source section 10. The bright viewing filter 30 allows the efficient transmission of the light L2 emitted from the fluorescent display information 92 and limits the transmission of the light L3 emitted from the circumference thereof, thereby enhancing the contrast of the fluorescent display information 92.
