Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet shielding agent excellent in an ultraviolet light shielding property and a feeling of use, and to provide a cosmetic containing it.SOLUTION: That is to say that an ultraviolet shielding agent related to the invention comprises anatase titanium oxide and iron oxide, and consists of photochromic powders with mean particle diameter of 0.3 to 1 μm. The ultraviolet shielding agent is suitable that the mean particle diameter is 0.6 to 0.8 μm. And the cosmetic related to the invention is characterized by containing 0.1 to 30 mass% of the ultraviolet shielding agent. In the cosmetic, it is suitable that further 0.5 to 20 mass% of an organic ultraviolet absorber is contained. In the cosmetic, it is suitable that the ultraviolet shielding agent consisting of powders whose mean particle diameter is less than 0.1 μm is not substantially contained.
