To provide an underground structure and a construction method of the underground structure, in which a steel shell skeleton and a concrete skeleton can be easily joined to each other.
An underground structure 1 comprises: steel shell skeletons 10 each formed by connecting a plurality of segment pieces 11, 11, ... with each other; concrete skeletons 20 each formed on an outer side of the steel shell skeleton 10; and joint pieces 30 each joined to a joint 40 provided in the steel shell skeleton 10. The joint 40 is provided with a through-hole formed in the segment piece 11 and connection ribs arranged upright on both sides of the through-hole and sandwiching it, and the joint piece 30 includes an embedment beam penetrating through the through-hole and embedded in the concrete skeleton 20 and a base end plate having an outer shape larger than that of the through-hole and fixed to the connection rib.
