To provide an uninterruptible power supply and a switch inspection method for the uninterruptible power supply capable of grasping that no failure exists in a relay switch.
This uninterruptible power supply 10 includes a converter 21, a storage means 23, an inverter 22, and a bypass circuit 24. Further, the supply comprises a relay switch 15 for bypass in the bypass circuit 24, a relay switch 16 for the inverter between the inverter 22 and an output terminal 17. A first comparison means 20 for detecting a potential difference between terminals of an AC power supply 11, and a second comparison means 25 for which one end is connected between the inverter 22 and the relay switch 16 for the inverter and the other end is connected between one end of a load apparatus 30 and the commercial AC power supply 11 to detect the potential difference. Operation controls of the relay switches 15, 16 and the determination of the normal operation of the relay switch are implemented by a control/determination means 26 on the basis of the potential differences detected by the comparison means 20, 25.
