Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize high heat transfer efficiency by a constitution wherein a plurality of vertical tubes each having a flat shape formed relatively wider than an opening upper-end part are connected between upper and lower headers in communication therewith so as to constitute a heat exchanger, and a large number of dimples are formed in side walls of the vertical tubes.
CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger 30 constituted by connecting a plurality of vertical tubes 50 between upper and lower headers 32 and 34 in communication therewith is provided in a housing having an air outlet formed in the front and an air inlet formed in the rear and provided with a motor fan, and an exhaust collecting part 40 which collects exhaust gas from a plurality of slender burners 44 and leads it to an external exhaust tube is connected onto the upper header 32. In this heat exchanger 30. Each tube 50 is made a flat tube and the opening lower-end part 52 fitted to the lower header 34 is formed to be wider relatively than the opening upper-end part 54. Besides, a plurality of dimples 74 are formed in a zigzag pattern in side walls 58 and 60 of the tube 50, in the opening upper-end part 54 thereof. As a result, a meandering path of the exhaust gas is formed and high heat transfer efficiency is obtained.
