Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forged images by imbedding information specifying an output device and an output date/time into an output image as an electronic watermark, having immunity in response to similarity with respect to a specific image.
SOLUTION: A similarity extracting section 102 first extracts similarity of an input image 101, an output of which an operator intends, with respect to a specific image 106. Then an immunity decision section 103 decides the immunity of an electronic watermark, on the basis of the similarity extracted by the similarity extraction section 102. The cross-reference among the similarities outputted from the similarity extraction section 102, a method for the electronic watermark and the immunity is realized, by storing in advance various results of cross-references to a table or by other methods. Then an electronic watermark imbedding section 104 imbeds electronic watermark information to the image 101 according to the electronic watermark method and immunity parameters outputted from the immunity decision section 103. In this case, the 'electronic watermark having immunity in response to similarity' means that the higher the similarity of the output image is, the less likely deformed electronic watermark needs to be embedded.
