Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a shock caused by the actuation of an electromagnetic brake at the occurrence of abnormality in an electric system and the like by releasing the control of the electromagnetic brake by means of a manual opera tion during running at a manual operation mode.
CONSTITUTION: When a main key switch 118 is turned on, the electromagnetic brake 88 is excited and a system comes to a brake release state. When a mode changeover switch 119 is set in the manual operation mode, an operator stands on a step and he can manually operate a vehicle. A disk brake 92 is applied with a brake lever 40 so as to stop the vehicle by a manual operation. When the electromagnetic brake is not excited owing to the fault of the electric system and the like during running, the electromagnetic brake 88 suddenly comes to a braking state, and the large shock is transmitted to a car body. Thus, the electromagnetic brake 88 is prevented from being applied by providing a brake release mechanism 89 for the manual operation and setting it to the brake release state with a lever 172. Thus, the shock by sudden braking does not occur even if the abnormality of the electric system occurs during running and a danger for damaging the car body can be prevented.
