PURPOSE: To make an inspection efficiently by switching the quantity of transmission for a photographed image in accordance with a sample measuring time of a designated test specimen.
CONSTITUTION: Dyed urine is led to a flow cell 4, a laser beam is irradiated 15 to the upstream section of a flow formed in a flat shape to detect scattered light, and grains are thereby detected 22. The grain detection thereby causes a flash lamp 1 to be lighted, and also causes the objective lens 5 of a microscope to form a grain image at an image forming position 6. The aforesaid image is photographed by TV camera 8 as a static image, and processed by photoelectric conversion so as to be stored in an image memory 25. The stored image is then processed 28, and transferred 34 to a display means 35 so as to be judged by specialists. In this case, a processing speed is selected out of 120, 80 and 60 specimens/hour in accordance with the condition of a specimen so as to be inputted into a key board 33. With no waiting time required for the speed of 120 specimens/hour, and with the waiting time of 15(30) seconds required for the speed of 80(60) specimens/hour, measurement is then started so as to be transferred at the time of completion. Therefore, the quantity of transmission for the speed of 60 specimens/hour is twice as much as that of 120 speciemens/hour, and inspection can thereby be made efficiently by switching the quantity of image transmission to meet the condition of the specimen.
