To provide a device which has the same technical capabilities as the conventional large and bulky test equipment, but is compact in size and have the ability to be operated with a battery for at least 6 to 8 hours.
A system 10 for collecting and analyzing vibration data is provided. The system includes: at least one sensor 12 for sensing vibrations and producing an electrical signal corresponding to the sensed vibrations; a Universal Serial Bus (USB) communication device 14 for receiving the electrical signal corresponding to the sensed vibrations from the at least one sensor 12 and adjusting and extracting the electrical signal so as to produce a conditioned signal; and a data collector 16 for receiving the conditioned signal and storing the conditioned signal in a data storage device 32.
