Title:
V TYPE 8-CYLINDER ENGINE AND OUTBOARD ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016217217
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict exhaust interference in a V type 8-cylinder engine by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: Ignition interval among eight cylinders is 90 degrees. Ignition interval among four cylinders in a first bank is not equal. Ignition interval among four cylinders in a second bank is not equal. At the cylinders spaced apart by 90 degrees in the first bank, a central angle of an exhaust cam of the cylinder behind in an order of ignition is larger than a central angle of an exhaust cam of the cylinder before in an order of ignition. At the cylinders spaced apart by 90 degrees in the second bank, the central angle of the exhaust cam of the cylinder behind in an order of ignition is larger than the central angle of the exhaust cam of the cylinder before in an order of ignition. At the cylinders spaced apart by 270 degrees in the first bank, the central angle of an exhaust cam of the cylinder behind in an order of ignition is larger than the central angle of an exhaust cam of the cylinder before in an order of ignition. At the cylinders spaced apart by 270 degrees in the second bank, the central angle of the exhaust cam of the cylinder behind in the order of ignition is larger than the central angle of the exhaust cam of the cylinder before in the order of ignition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
