To obtain a new protein having at least one determinant site involving the immunoreaction and/or antigen of Eimeria lactic acid dehydrogenase (LDH) with a specific relative monomer molecular weight, capable of stimulating immune lymphocytes, and useful as e.g. the subject vaccine.
This new protein contains at least part of an amino acid sequence of the formula or a biologically functional equivalent thereof and has at least one determinant site involving the immunoreaction and/or antigen of Eimeria lactic acid dehydrogenase (LDH) about 37000 in relative monomer molecualr weight derived from Eimeria species (e.g. Eimeria acervulina). This protein is useful as e.g. a vaccine capable of stimulating immune lymphocytes and effective for protection from poultry coccidiosis. This protein is obtained by separating a chromosome DNA from Eimeria acervulina by conventioanl means followed by amplifying the DNA through PCR using a primer to effect cloning and then integrating a vector with the clones which are then manifested in host cells.
