Abstract:
To provide a vacuum cleaner excellent in air cleaning effect which is capable of emitting ions to the atmosphere even in a time other than cleaning work.
The vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower 6 for generating suction air; a dust collection part 7 for capturing dust; an ion generater 9 for emitting ions to the atmosphere; and a rechargeable power supply 12 for driving the ion generater 9. The ion generator 9 can be driven by the charged power supply 12 to generate ions even after termination of the cleaning work. With this structure, ions can be emitted to the atmosphere in other times than during the cleaning work, and therefore, the air cleaning effect can be improved.
