Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent displacement of peripheral ground due to volumetric shrinkage caused by consolidation settlement of peripheral ground and consolidation, to reduce the cost and to reduce the influence of vibration/noise in ground improvement by vacuum consolidation method.
SOLUTION: In this consolidation method, a part A0 of soft ground to be improved is covered with an air-tight sheet 3, negative pressure is generated between the air-tight sheet 3 and the part A0 of soft ground to be improved by a vacuum pump 5 to improve the soft ground by loading of atmospheric pressure. A vertical member 6 for supply of water is placed in the outer periphery of the improvement object, water is supplied to the outer peripheral part of the improvement object through the vertical member 6 for supply of water, and while the water supply pressure is regulated, the soft ground is improved.
