Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum suction device which can reduce the cost can by simplifying its structure and control, and which can accurately separate a work from a suction head without a delay even when the work is small and light, and to provide its drive method.
SOLUTION: In the vacuum suction device 1 comprising a two-position solenoid switching valve 24 for selectively communicating the suction head 21 for sucking the work with a positive pressure source 23 or a negative pressure source 22, and a throttle circuit 28 arranged in a flow path 27 for coupling the positive pressure source 23 with the switching valve 24, among a negative pressure P1 of the negative pressure source 22, a positive pressure P2 of the positive pressure source 23, a flow path volume V1 between the switching valve 24 and the sucking head 21, a flow path volume V2 between the throttle circuit 28 and the switching valve 24, and the pressure Ps in the suction head in which the work can be separated from the suction head by its own weight, the following relation is effective:P1×V1+P2×V2=Ps×(V1+V2).
