To provide a method for recovering a vacuum thermal insulation material used as a thermal insulation material in a refrigerator without breaking down, and reusing it as it is.
A wall part 2 and a door part 3 of the refrigerator 1 having at least one of refrigerating and freezing functions each include an inner plate 7 facing inside of the refrigerator 1, and an outer plate 6 facing outside of the refrigerator 1, and the vacuum thermal insulation material 4 and filled thermal insulation material 8 which are mounted between the inner plate 7 and the outer plate 6. The method includes having a mark 5 on a surface of the outer plate 6 indicating a mounting position of the vacuum thermal insulation material 4, and in disassembling and recovering the refrigerator 1, cutting the outer plate 6 along the mark 5 and removing the the vacuum thermal insulation material 4 .
