A valve regulator (4) has a separate sleeve (14) with a screw thread. The sleeve (14) with the screw thread is connected to an adjusting piston (2) or the component (41) connected to the adjusting piston (2) via a screw thread connection, and wedge members (6, 7) are tightened axially with a conical tightening sleeve (13) via a conical surface partition (10) of the wedge members(6, 7).
