Abstract:
To further develop a valve seat ring that simultaneously has high strength and stiffness and improved heat characteristics compared to the prior art.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a valve seat ring (10) of a gas exchange valve of an internal combustion engine, in particular a diesel engine or gas engine, with a main body (11) defining a flow opening (12), where a valve seat (14) for a valve box of the gas exchange valve is arranged on a section of the main body (11) in the area of the flow opening (12). The invention provides manufacture of at least the main body (11) and the valve seat (14) together as a one-piece cast molding from a cobalt-chromium hard alloy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
