To provide a vane pump stably discharging working fluid while securing discharge capacity.
The vane pump includes a pump body 10 in which a pump storage recessed part 10a for storing a rotor 2 and a cam ring 4 is formed, a high pressure chamber 12 to which the working fluid in a pump chamber 7 formed in a groove shape at the bottom of the pump storage recessed part 10a is led, a flow rate control valve 20 fitted in an assembling hole 18 formed in the pump body 10 for controlling the flow rate of the working fluid supplied to a hydraulic machine, and a high pressure passage 19 having an inlet part 19a opened on the outer peripheral face of the high pressure chamber 12 and an outlet part 19b formed opened in the assembling hole 18, for leading the working fluid of the high pressure chamber 12 to the flow rate control valve 20. A bottom of the high pressure chamber 12 is formed to be inclined so that the position corresponding to the inlet part 19a of the high pressure passage 19 becomes the shallowest.
