Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce pulsation of delivery hydraulic pressure by forming notches in a rotor and a plate member contactable therewith then communicating the notches synchronously with pulsation of delivery pressure oil and recirculating a portion of the delivery oil to tank side. CONSTITUTION:A notch 34 communicated with respective vane backface chambers 32 is formed in a face of a rotor 12 rotatable integrally with a drive shaft 10 which contacts with a rear body (plate member) 4, while a notch 38 communicated with a spill port 36 of the drive shaft 10 is formed in the face of the plate member 4. When a vane pump is constructed such that the vane backface chamber 32 communicates with the spill port 36 when the rotor 12 rotates to overlap the notches 34, 38 each other and the timing thereof is matched with the peak of pulsating delivery oil pressure, the vane backface chamber 32 where delivery oil is led in communicates with the spill port 36 so as to leak the delivery oil slightly and recirculate the leaked oil to tank side. Since the quantity of leaked oil may be quite small, pulsation of delivery pressure oil can be reduced without exerting influence onto the pump performance, resulting in reduction of noise.
