Abstract:
To provide a variable cam system of an automobile capable of improving fuel economy and output of the vehicle.
This variable cam system includes a camshaft tightened onto a timing gear to move in the direction of its length, an actuator for moving the camshaft in the direction of its length, and a cam which is fixed to the camshaft to open and close a valve by rotation and whose contact face is formed into a curved face in the direction of length of the camshaft so that operation displacement is changed by corresponding to travel of the camshaft in the direction of length.
