Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent vehicle burglary while maintaining structure of a key and transponder as it is by setting use prohibition of a key ID when it is determined that a transponder is installed in the vicinity of a signal receiving unit by means of an installing position determination unit.
SOLUTION: When a transponder responds to a weak magnetic field and outputs a key ID signal, the key ID signal is received via an antenna 6, and then, ID collation is carried out again in an ID collation unit 13. When collation is concluded, a specific ID use prohibition determining unit 17 determines that a transponder possessing a key ID is removed from a key and installed in the vicinity of the antenna 6 illegally, and then, determines illegal usage so as to set use prohibition for the corresponding key ID in a key ID registration unit 11. In this way, an engine cannot be started and a vehicle cannot be moved, to that vehicle burglary can be surely prevented.
