Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle camera capable of rapidly removing water attached to the surface area of an imaging lens on which subject light forming a subject image is made incident.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle camera 2 uses a rectangular shape area for image processing, that is narrower than a subject image received on an imaging surface. The camera includes a water storage part 8 for sucking by contacting a water drop 10 flowing on a rectangular shape surface area 5a downward from the rectangular shape surface area 5a of an imaging lens 5 on which subject light P for forming an image on the rectangular area is made incident. A hydrophilic film 9 is formed between the rectangular shape surface area 5a of the imaging lens 5 and the water storage part 8.
