A perception relative distance Ds showing a relative speed between a perception object TA based on the perception of the driver and an own vehicle CA is calculated on the basis of an actual relative distance Dr, and a perception relative speed Vs showing a relative speed between the perception object TA based on the perception of the driver and the own vehicle CA is calculated on the basis of an actual relative speed Vr (step ST2), and a perception relative rate X as the ratio of the perception relative distance Ds to the perception relative speed Vs is calculated (step ST3), and when the perception relative ratio X exceeds a threshold X0, vehicle control is performed (steps ST4, 5). The vehicle control is performed on the basis of the perception relative ratio X, so that it is possible to suppress the feeling of incompatibility of the driver in vehicle control.
