Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controller which secures a power supply capability to a power steering device while achieving reduction of the volume of a power storage device.SOLUTION: A vehicle controller comprises: an engine serving as a power source for a vehicle; a power storage device; a starting device which is connected to the power storage device and consumes power to start the engine; and a power steering device which is connected to the power storage device and consumes power to generate an assist torque, is capable of executing engine stop control of causing the engine during traveling of the vehicle to become in a stop state and allows the engine stop control when the engine is not stopped and the vehicle is in a lane-keeping steering condition (S2-No) and inhibits the engine stop control (S4, S5) when the vehicle is in a right- or left-turn operation or a lane-changing condition (S2-Yes).
