Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle current position monitoring method for safely and surely ensuring an inappropriately started vehicle.
SOLUTION: A controller 13 of onboard information terminal equipment 10 transmits the current position information of a vehicle to a monitor center 40. Upon deciding that user ID and a password inputted when the ignition of the vehicle is turned ON by a driver are erroneous, a controller 13 transmits abnormality information to a monitor center 40. In the monitor center 40, a controller 41 monitors the vehicle based on the transmitted current position of the vehicle. Also, upon receiving the abnormality information, the controller 41 instructs the vehicle to shorten the transmission interval of the current position information. Then, the controller 41 provides the current position information of the vehicle transmitted with the short interval to a security company. In the security company, the vehicle is safely and surely ensured based on the provided current position information of the vehicle.
