Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust heat shielding structure for a vehicle which surely prevents heating of a center bearing disposed on a propeller shaft due to heat transfer from a silencer disposed on an exhaust pipe of a vehicle and thereby can prevent failure of the center bearing.SOLUTION: In a vehicle having a center bearing 21 disposed on a propeller shaft 20 for transmission of power from an internal combustion engine as a power source of the vehicle and a silencer 11 disposed on an exhaust pipe 10 of the internal combustion engine, with the silencer 11 being disposed in parallel with the propeller shaft 20, a first plate member 12 for covering a first peripheral part of the silencer 11 facing the propeller shaft 20 is disposed between the silencer 11 and the propeller shaft 20 with a distance from the silencer 11, and a second plate member 22 covering a part including a second peripheral part 21A of the center bearing 21 facing the silencer 11 with a distance from the center bearing 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
