Abstract:
PURPOSE:To surely and early detect a failure of a vehicle level data detector, by providing such an arrangement that, of four data signals from vehicle level adjusting devices respectively provided for four wheels, three vehicle level data signals are used to compute the vehicle level at the wheel corresponding to the remaining signal, and then the thus computed value is compared with the remaining vehicle level data signal. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 20 receives data signals DHa through DHd from a vehicle level data detectors 17a through 17d which are provided to the vehicle attaching sections of vehicle level adjusting actuators 1a through 1d respectively attached to four wheels, and controls the vehicle level adjusting actuators 1a through 1d. Simultaneously, the control circuit 20 computes an ideal vehicle level value corresponding to one of the data signal DHa through DHd from the remaining three vehicle level data signals, and then determines whether the difference between the thus computed ideal vehicle level and the detected vehicle level falls in a predetermined allowable range or not. If it does not fall in the predetermined allowable range, a failure signal is issued. With this arrangement, a failure of a vehicle level detector may be early and surely detected.
