Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the life of a tire and aim at making the running of a vehicle on a curved load, by providing such a multiple shafts type vehicle suspension device that a trunnion shaft is fitted onto a pitchable walking pin to be selectively rotated or secured, through the intermediary of an upright shaft. CONSTITUTION:A spring 18 supporting a tire 25 is journalled to equalizers 28 and walking pins 9. An upright pin 8 is pivotally fitted on each walking pin 9. Further, brackets 6 attached to a frame 7 for each upright pin 8 are attached to a cross shaft 5 and a shaft 4 orthogonal to the former to form a trunning shaft 2. Meanwhile, a lever 20 is attached to the top end of the vertical shaft 8, and a pin 23 is disengageably engaged with the lever 20 by the motion of an air chamber 22. Due to the engagement and disengagement between the lever 20 and the pin 23, the trunnion shaft 2 is selectively rotated or secured in association with the straight forward running, or an advancing or backward running on a curved road. Accordingly, the tire may be used under a reasonable condition, thereby it is possible to extend the life of the tire.
