Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly deal with a short circuit failure of DC/DC converter in a power supply unit for a vehicle having a high voltage battery charged by a generator and a low voltage battery charged with the electric power supplied form the high voltage battery via a DC/DC converter. SOLUTION: When the output current from a DC/DC converter is abnormal (S11) and the output voltage surpasses a prescribed value (S12), power generation is halted (S13).
