To provide a vehicle seat capable of building up a suspension part without the need of a special tool in the vehicle seat provided with the suspension part and a method for manufacturing the same.

The vehicle seat is provided with a cover material formed with a pattern form and a cushion material having a pattern groove part formed along the pattern form and covered by the cover material. A trim cord 4 disposed along the pattern form and a clip member 10 fixed onto the trim cord 4 are provided on the back of the cover material. A wire member 2b is disposed on the pattern groove part of the cushion material in exposure. The clip member 10 is provided with a wire engagement part 11 extending from a side of the trim cord 4 to a side of the wire member 2b and able to engage with the wire member 2b and a stopper part 12 extending from the side of the trim cord 4 to the side of the wire member 2b and able to make contact with the wire member 2b. The wire engagement part 11 intersects the stopper part 12, holding the wire member 2b therebetween.
