Abstract:
To provide a vehicle seat enabling the seat back to be reduced in thickness.
In this vehicle seat, since a rod 2 is inserted into a slit 10, which is formed in a protector board 1 for securing a knee space, at the time of collision of a vehicle, the rod 2 moving rearward is not brought into contact with the protector board 1. Since there is no need of largely securing a moving space for the rod 2 in the seat back SB, the seat back SB can be reduced in thickness. Specifically, the vehicle seat is effective to an active headrest mechanism in which the rod 2 is disposed between the protector board 1 for securing the knee space and a pressure receiving plate 3.
