Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a solar charging after starting a parking period even in a case where the solar charging is not permitted after starting the parking period.SOLUTION: In a vehicle enabled to perform a solar charging to charge an on-vehicle battery with an output of a solar generator, a battery ECU performs equalization control by being automatically started at every n-time interval during a parking period starting from being turned off by an IG off operation to a user turning on the IG. If a battery temperature Tb is equal to or higher than a threshold T0 when a parking period is started, the battery ECU detects, and stores, a battery temperature Tb every time the ECU is started for the equalization control after starting the parking period, estimates time T required for the battery temperature to be decreased to less than the threshold T0 when the detected and stored battery temperature Tb reaches X-piece, on the basis of the X-piece of battery temperature Tb, and permits the execution of solar charging when the estimated time T has elapsed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
