Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle network system capable of facilitating authentication data maintenance work, preventing degradation in availability even during moving, and preventing leakage and missing of authentication data.SOLUTION: A vehicle network system includes, an on-board side: a first network and a second network; a barrier device controlling access to the first network via the second network; and an on-board authentication device determining whether or not to permit access to the first network from a terminal device. The vehicle network system includes, on a ground side a ground authentication device determining whether or not to permit the access to the first network from the terminal device. The on-board authentication device determines which determines whether or not to permit the access to the first network from the terminal device, this on-board authentication device or the ground authentication device, depending on vehicle situations. The barrier device exerts a control so as to be able to access the first network via the second network if the on-board authentication device or the ground authentication device determines to permit the access.
