Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a door beam storable in the narrow space inside a door by which sufficient rigidity can be displayed in relation to load input in a longitudinal direction, even vertical and slant installation of a door beam like the door for a truck is required.
CONSTITUTION: A door beam 11 installed inside a door 10 is provided with a beam main body 12 arranged vertically and slantly differing the height of front/rear end side and a bracket fixing the front/rear end of the beam main body 12 to the door frame. The beam main body 12 is provided with upper/ lower pair of short sides 31, 32 along a vehicular width direction, left/right pair of long side 33, 34 along a height direction and a vertically long closed section rectangular pipe having a corner part of the position crossing these respective sides 31-34 mutually. A corner part is mean to a bent surface so as to avoid the rapid buckling at the time of loading.
