To provide an easy-to-assemble vehicular power disc brake for producing a service brake condition with hydraulic pressure and a parking brake condition with the operation of an electric motor.
A caliper body 16 has a cylinder hole 24 into which a brake piston 29 is slidably fitted. A partition wall 26 forms a hydraulic pressure chamber 28 between the brake piston 29 and itself for operating hydraulic pressure to produce the service brake condition during non-operation of the electric motor 34. It is integrated laid between the hydraulic pressure chamber 28 and a reduction mechanism 35. The electric motor 34 has an output shaft 47 coaxial with the cylinder hole 24 for developing power to produce the parking brake condition. It is mounted on the caliper body 16 with the output shaft 47 coaxially fitted to an input member of the reduction mechanism 35 in a relatively non-rotatable manner. An output rotating member is coaxially fitted in a relatively non-rotatable manner to a screw shaft 37 rotatably passing through the partition wall 26 in a liquid tight manner.
