The display device 101 of a verification support device 100 displays an image containing a symbol whose variation is started when a performance is started and stopped when the performance is terminated and an image of a performance to be verified. A video signal input unit 102 accepts input of a video signal representing the displayed image. A first storage unit 103 stores an image represented by the video signal in the form of data based on the video signal accepted by the video signal input unit 102. A determination unit 104 determines whether the image represented by the video signal has not be changed for a predetermined period based on the video signal accepted by the video signal input unit 102. When the determination unit 104 determines that the image remains unchanged for the predetermined period, a second storage unit 105 stores the data of images for a predetermined period, including the period for which the image has not been changed, among data stored in the first storage unit 103 as data for verification.
