To provide a vertical base isolation device that is capable of efficiently performing vertical base isolation on an overall building.

A vertical base isolation device is provided between an upper structure 2 and a lower structure 4 as an overall building and includes disc springs 12 capable of supporting a load of the upper structure 2, and an oil damper 14 which performs piston action in a vertical direction and suppresses horizontal displacement of the disc springs 12. A plurality of disc springs 12 are available while being overlapped with each other in parallel or in series or while being combined. The disc springs 12 and the oil damper 14 are disposed integrally and vertical base isolation can be performed efficiently on the overall building.
