Abstract:
To provide a vertical shaft pump, early starting pumping, and improving emergency response in rapid inflow of a large amount of water.
In the vertical shaft pump 41, a suction port 6 is formed below an impeller 4, a delivery pipe 8 for delivering the water sucked from the suction port 6 is provided above the impeller 4, a suction passage 7 is formed between the impeller 4 and the suction port 6, an intake pipe 12 taking air into the suction passage 7 is connected with the vertical shaft pump, and an intake valve 13 for opening/closing the intake pipe 12 is disposed. A water feeding means 45 is provided to feed water to the impeller from above.
