Title:
VERTICALLY-MOVING WICK TYPE PETROLEUM BURNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5929909
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simplify a whole constitution and to reduce a manufacturing cost, by a method wherein one end of a belt is wound around a wick vertically- moving shaft, the other end thereof is engaged with a control knob, and a wick is made vertically slidable through sliding of the control knob.

CONSTITUTION: A connecting belt 9 is normally energized in the direction of an arrow mark B, and with a control knob 10 operated in the direction of an arrow mark C, and a wick vertically-moving shaft 4 is rotated through the medium of a take-up reel part 7a to raise a wick 2. Further, with an earthquake resistant fire extinguisher being actuated, engagement by an engaging member 8 is released, the shaft is rotated in the direction of an arrow mark B by the accumulated force of a spring 12, and the wick 2 is lowered in the direction of an arrow mark A. Thus, control of the wick vertically-moving shaft is performed through a linear moving system instead of a rotary system, whereby operation and display of vertical movement of the wick are conducted in a straight line manner and simply, and a device is easy to handle, resulting in simplification of constitution and reduction in a manufacturing cost.
