Abstract:
To further miniaturize a vibration control damper while performing optimum designing according to characteristics of a building by arbitrarily determining damping characteristics according to an outer diameter dimension of a gear portion.SOLUTION: A vibration control device 1 is disposed in a space of a frame of a building. The vibration control device 1 is supported by a Y-shaped brace 6B of a lower layer, and supports a rack member 10 by the brace member of a Y-shaped brace 6A of an upper layer. A vibration control damper 12 of the vibration control device 1 is formed by stacking a pinion gear 16 for converting a linear motion of the rack member 10 transmitting vibration of the building, into a rotary motion, a rotary damper 17 for damping vibration by a viscous body housed inside, and a rotary body 18 having a weight, and coaxially integrally fixing them by a shaft member 14. The rotary body 18 can be replaced with an arbitrarily mass. The damping characteristic can be arbitrarily determined by combination of the pinion gear 16 and the rotary body 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
