To provide a vibration control device which efficiently performs vibration control in spite of a simple structure.SOLUTION: A vibration control device according to the present invention is installed between first and second structure parts, which are separated from each other, of a structure including the first and second structure parts. The vibration control device comprises: a U-shaped damper material including first and second linear portions which are opposed to each other by turning a tabular member in an intermediate portion in a length direction, and a curved portion connecting both the linear portions; a first restriction material which is fixed to the first linear portion, restricts a deformation range of the damper material in the case of earthquake from the outside along the first linear portion and is fixed to the first structure part; and a second restriction material which is fixed to the second linear portion, restricts the deformation range of the damper material in the case of earthquake from the outside along the second linear portion and is fixed to the second structure part. The damper material includes penetrating or non-penetrating slits in a length direction of a damper at least in each of the first and second linear portions in a case where a width of the tabular member in a direction orthogonal to the length direction exceeds a predetermined dimension.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
