To improve efficiency by minimizing the scattering of energy associated with the cycle friction between a rotor and a stator.
This vibration motor is provided with at least one fixed member, and at least one traveling member that is driven so that it can travel in reference with the fixed member, and then an excitation member that is suited for applying inclined forced for driving the move of the traveling member by vibrating a rigid sector in a vibration mode for connecting tangential and normal vibrations by moving the rigid contact sector that is provided by the fixed member and/or the traveling member. In this vibration motor, a main resonance mode and at least one secondary resonance mode are given to the tangential vibration or normal vibration to set the secondary resonance mode to a frequency that is essentially the same as the harmonic frequency of the main resonance mode.
